Refunds & cancellations
These rules apply to professional fees for financial auditing and related engagements described on this site. Binding terms in a signed engagement letter prevail if they differ.
Eligibility
Refunds apply to fees paid for work not yet performed, subject to the conditions below. Fees for completed stages—planning delivered, interim fieldwork finished, or reports issued—are generally non-refundable.
Timeframe to request
Submit refund or cancellation requests in writing to hello@apisofttech.digital within fourteen days of the event giving rise to the request, or sooner if your engagement letter sets a shorter notice period for cancellation.
Full or partial refunds
If you cancel before planning begins and we have not incurred third-party confirmation costs, the planning deposit may be refunded in full less any bank transfer fees. If planning or interim fieldwork has started, we invoice time incurred at the rates in the engagement letter and refund any unused deposit balance.
Non-refundable items
- Fees for stages already completed and delivered
- Third-party confirmation or travel costs already incurred
- Rush rescheduling premiums once accepted in writing
Refund process & timing
Approved refunds are processed within twenty business days to the original payment method where possible. We confirm the amount in writing before transfer.
Cancellation & rescheduling
Rescheduling fieldwork with at least fifteen days’ notice is usually accommodated within our capacity calendar without an extra fee. Shorter notice may require a rescheduling charge reflecting staff already allocated. Client no-shows on agreed inventory observation days may be billed for the reserved field day.
Deposits & work already started
Statutory audits typically require a planning deposit on signature. Once planning memoranda or walkthroughs are underway, that portion of the fee is earned. Agreed-upon procedures and reviews follow the deposit schedule in their letters—often half on commencement.
Exceptions
If we withdraw for independence reasons discovered after signature and before substantive fieldwork, unused deposits are returned. If you withdraw because statements will not be prepared in time, fees for work already performed remain payable.
